Safe Haven & Concussion

Safe Haven and CDC Concussion Training and Certification is required for All Volunteers in AYSO. Certifications are valid for 2 Years from the certification date. For AYSO we will require your Certifications be valid through the end of the current season.

Coach Training

ALL COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE AYSO SAFE HAVEN AND CONCUSSION TRAINING EVERY TWO YEARS.

To complete your Safe Haven and Concussion Training visit www.aysoU.org .
You will need your AYSO479.com login information.

All NEW Coaches are required to complete their division specific training, as well as Safe Haven and Concussion. 6U, 8U, 10U, Safe Haven, and Concussion Training are available at www.aysoU.org.

Coach Training Options

Option 1: Complete the 6U, 8U, or 10U Course at www.aysoU.org and print the completion
Certificate. Bring your certificate to one of our Field Companion Courses to Complete your training.
- 10U coaches are required to complete a field companion course to complete coach certification.
- 6U & 8U are not required to complete a field course but it is recommended.
- 12U, Intermediate, & Advanced Coach do not currently have an online course.

Option 2: For 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, Intermediate, or Advanced Coach-
Attend the Full Training Course for your specific division at the
Area 10A Referee/Coach Super Camp in Bakersfield on August 10-12.
Schedule and location will be posted as soon as it is available.

12U - Attend the full training class in our region at the Benz Visco Youth Sports & Cultural Park.
Date and Times will be available soon.

*Coaches- In order to qualify for Area and Section playoffs you must be trained in the division (or higher) that you are coaching and have up to date Safe Haven and Concussion Training as of October 1st.
